Periodic reports are necessary because all electrical installations deteriorate over a time by wear, corrosion, overloading, age and enviromental influences.Consequently: legislation requires that electrical installations are maintained in a safe condition and therfore must be periodically inspected and tested. also periodic inspection and testing should be considered to assess compliance with BS 7671 Electrical regulations, a change of occupancy of the premises or a change of use of the premises.
